From online inquiries to an overseas site visit, and from factory tours to hands-on test drives, Lide Mining earned the trust of a South African client through its robust manufacturing capabilities and comprehensive after-sales commitment. The successful delivery of two 2-ton electric forklifts marks a new chapter in the company's expansion into the African market.

In the second quarter of 2026, we received an inquiry via email from South Africa. The client, a local medium-sized warehousing and logistics enterprise, was seeking efficient, eco-friendly material handling equipment for a newly constructed warehouse center. With the growing demand for clean-energy forklifts in the South African market, the client was particularly interested in 2-ton electric models.
I. From Online to Offline: Professional Communication Builds Initial Trust
Forklift procurement decisions in the South African logistics industry are increasingly favoring electrification; lithium-powered forklifts offer distinct advantages in warehouse operations, including zero emissions and reduced operating costs.
Upon receiving the inquiry, our overseas business team responded immediately. We gained a deep understanding of the client's needs through emails and video conferences and proactively proposed a virtual factory inspection. Through a live video link, the client was able to "step inside" our electric forklift production base in Jining, Shandong:
Modern assembly lines and intelligent production processes
Assembly and testing of core components (motors, electronic control systems, and battery systems)
Rigorous pre-delivery testing procedures for the complete vehicle
On-site implementation of the ISO9001 quality management system
The client showed particular interest in the lithium battery option for our electric forklifts. Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries require no water maintenance, support opportunity charging, and eliminate the risks of acid leaks or harmful gas emissions, making them far better suited for warehouse environments.

II. A Visit to China: From Factory Tours to Product Test Drives
After the virtual inspection established initial trust, the client decided to travel to China for an on-site visit.
The client flew from South Africa to Jining, Shandong, where we accompanied them on a comprehensive tour of the entire manufacturing process. From steel cutting, welding, and painting to electrical system assembly and vehicle commissioning, the client witnessed every step of the 2-ton electric forklift's production.
"From raw materials to the finished product, there is strict quality control at every stage; this gives us even greater confidence in the product," the client remarked on-site. Following the tour, we arranged a product test drive. The customer personally operated the 2-ton electric forklift, experiencing: the responsiveness of the electronic control system (smooth and precise travel and lifting); the robust performance of the lithium-ion power system (powerful acceleration and stable lifting at full load); ease of control and comfort (ergonomic layout); and overall vehicle stability and maneuverability (suitable for narrow-aisle warehouse operations). The customer was highly satisfied with the test drive, particularly praising the forklift's smooth handling and lithium-ion power performance.
III. On-site Contract Signing: Order Secured for Two 2-Ton Electric Forklifts
After the visit, the customer placed an order for two 2-ton electric forklifts on the spot.
At the signing, the customer cited three main reasons for choosing us:
1. Product performance meets requirements, and the lithium-ion configuration complies with South African warehousing standards. There is growing demand in the South African market for efficient, eco-friendly electric forklifts; lithium-ion models offer significant advantages—such as zero emissions and low maintenance costs—making them ideal for warehouse logistics environments with strict operational standards. Our 2-ton electric forklift's lithium-ion option aligns perfectly with the customer's needs.
2. Solid manufacturing capabilities and excellent cost-performance ratio. We possess over twenty years of experience in construction machinery manufacturing and have established a global sales network, exporting products to more than 37 countries and regions. Following the on-site visit, the customer expressed full confidence in our factory scale and quality control systems.
3. Professional service response and reliable after-sales support. Our overseas team provided efficient follow-up from the initial inquiry through to the on-site visit. We committed to providing comprehensive technical documentation, online troubleshooting support, and genuine spare parts, thereby alleviating the South African customer's concerns regarding after-sales support for cross-border procurement.
IV. Shipment and Delivery: Two Units to Boost South African Warehouse Logistics Upgrades
Production of the two 2-ton electric forklifts is now complete, and they have passed rigorous factory testing; they are ready to be shipped to South Africa via full-container ocean freight. The equipment will primarily serve cargo handling operations at the customer's newly built warehouse center, helping to enhance material handling efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Lide Mining will continue to deepen its presence in the African market, leveraging high-quality electric forklift products and a comprehensive after-sales service system to help more African customers achieve their goals of green and efficient material handling.
